چکیده
We show that there is an effect of nonextensivity acting upon the BCS model for superconductors in the ground state that motivates its study in the Tsallis’ statistical framework. We show that the weak-coupling limit superconductors are well described by q ∼ 1, where q is a real parameter which characterizes the degree of nonextensivity of the Tsallis’ entropy. Nevertheless, small deviations with respect to q = 1 provide better agreement when compared with experimental results. To illustrate this point, making use of an approximated Fermi function, we show that measurements of the specific heat, ultrasonic attenuation and tunneling experiments for tin (Sn) are better described with q = 0.99.

We present preliminary evidence of BCS diquark condensation in the 3 + 1 dimensional Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model at non-zero chemical potential (μ) on the lattice. Large N results are used to match the model’s parameters to low energy, zero density phenomenology. A diquark source j is added in a partially quenched approximation to enable the measurement of lattice diquark observables. In par...

Distributions derived from non-extensive Tsallis statistics are closely connected with dynamics described by a nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation. The combination shows promise in describing stochastic processes with power-law distributions and superdiffusive dynamics. We investigate intra-day price changes in the S&P500 stock index within this framework by direct analysis and by simulation. We f...

We examine isovector and isoscalar proton-neutron pairing correlations for the ground state of even-even Ge isotopes with mass number A=64–76 within the deformed BCS approach. For N=Z 64 32Ge the BCS solution with only T=0 proton-neutron pairs is found. For other nuclear systems (N > Z) a coexistence of a T=0 and T=1 pairs in the BCS wave function is observed. A problem of fixing of strengths o...

Properties and temperature behavior of π and σ bound states are studied in the framework of the nonlocal model with a separable interaction kernel based on the quark Dyson-Schwinger and the meson Bethe-Salpeter equations. Mπ(T ), fπ(T ), Mσ(T ) and Γσ→ππ(T ) are considered above and below the deconfinement and chiral restoration transitions.
